Now Accepting New Individual Therapy Clients
I’m currently accepting a limited number of new individual therapy clients seeking specialized support with kink and BDSM, fetish exploration, power exchange (D/s) dynamics, sexual identity, and relationship diversity.
I offer telehealth throughout California and especially welcome clients who live outside of San Diego County. As someone active in the local kink community, I value having some separation between my professional and personal worlds, and working with clients outside the area helps me maintain that separation.
Feeling Seen and Understood
There is something powerful about being able to talk openly about the parts of your life that matter to you—and feeling genuinely understood when you do. You don’t have to edit yourself, wonder how your therapist will respond, or find yourself explaining why something is important to you. Instead, you can have the space to be curious, ask questions, and explore your experiences with someone who understands the context you’re bringing into the room.
My experiences across different identities and communities have given me a deep appreciation for the many ways people come to understand themselves and find their own way in the world. As a queer, bisexual woman from a first-generation American family, a member of the kink community, and someone who has experienced relationships outside traditional norms, I’ve learned to see things from multiple perspectives and appreciate the complexity of people’s experiences. I bring that understanding into the way I listen—with openness, compassion, and respect.
Expertise That Supports You
My academic background has been an important part of my clinical work. I completed my master’s degree in Human Sexuality, where my research explored the experiences of nearly 1,600 women in the kink community. This research examined their sensual, sexual, and erotic experiences at a time when academic literature on kink and BDSM focused almost entirely on men.
This work became the foundation for a peer-reviewed article in Archives of Sexual Behavior and the book Women and Kink: Relationships, Reasons, and Stories. I also authored a chapter for therapists on applying attachment theory within Dominance and submission (D/s) dynamics and continue to contribute to the field through writing, professional education, consultation, and speaking engagements.
The knowledge I’ve developed through my academic, clinical, and professional experience allows me to recognize the nuances of what you bring into the room and to offer thoughtful, informed support. At the same time, I want to understand your experience on its own terms—your questions, your challenges, and what matters most to you.
Therapy That Makes Room for All of You
You may be coming to therapy because of anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, relationship challenges, or a major life transition—or simply because you want to better understand yourself, your relationships, or something that’s been on your mind.
Whatever brings you in, you deserve a space where you can speak openly and be met with curiosity and an open mind. There is room here for the parts of your life that bring joy and connection, as well as the parts that feel complicated or vulnerable. Therapy can be a place to make sense of your experiences, discover new possibilities, and create a life and relationships that feel more fully your own.
